The exhibition on the mechanical engineering ‘MechTRIX 7.0’ has been organized in the capital. The program which lasted for three days from February 3 to 5 was organized by the society of mechanical engineering students (SOMES), Pulchowk campus, Institute of Engineering at the campus premises. The exhibition whose title sponsor was Kathmandu Infosys (Education Consultancy for abroad studies) was supported by many other governmental and private partners. The exhibition attracted thousands of visitors in its three-day program.
There were participants from +2 and various campuses of the mechanical engineering department. The program witnessed the participants from all over the country. “We have very exciting events for this exhibition, we have drone race, robot fight and race and paper bridge competition,” logistics manager Purak Adhikari told Scientific Mind. The winner from the +2 design was Xavier’s International College for flying lord by Anusha Ghimire, Sachin Dangi, Akrit Dhungel and Nischal Dhungana. From the B. E. design, Pulchowk Campus was the winner with the members Sirjana Pun, Aditya Amatya, Bikash Kunwar and Basanta Basnet.
Along with the exhibition, a cultural program called global village was organized where participants from seven countries showed the culture and tradition of their native country. In addition, on the day of February 21, breast cancer screening of 90 people was done by the Rose foundation Nepal (NGO working for awareness of cancer).
